§ 1 General provisions and formation of contract
These Terms and Conditions govern orders for physical books from ad picturam, specialist publisher for scholarly art literature, registered merchant. Deviating arrangements require our express confirmation. The version published when the order is submitted applies.
A book displayed in the shop is not a binding offer. Before submission, you can review and correct your entries and cart.
For online payment, the purchase contract is formed when payment is successfully confirmed. An invoice order is initially a non-binding request; the purchase contract is formed only when we expressly approve it by email. The invoice is payable in full within 30 days of its date.
If a book is unavailable despite being shown as available, or an obvious writing, printing or calculation error occurred, we may reject the order. Payments already received will be refunded without undue delay.
§ 2 Consumer right of cancellation
Right of cancellation: Consumers have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. The period expires fourteen days after you, or a third party appointed by you other than the carrier, takes possession of the goods. For goods from one order delivered separately, it begins on receipt of the final item.
To exercise this right, inform us – ad picturam, Im Ried 4b, 79249 Merzhausen, Germany, email info@ad-picturam.de – of your decision by a clear statement, such as a letter or email. You may use the model form below, but this is not mandatory. Sending the statement before the deadline is sufficient.
Effects of cancellation: We will reimburse all payments received, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after receiving your statement. We normally use the same payment method. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of dispatch.
Return the goods without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after declaring cancellation. You bear the direct return cost. You are liable for diminished value only where handling went beyond what was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
